Plume poppies,
or macleaya cordata, are used to create a screen behind these
chairs. They can reach more than 6 feet tall, and are
great for creating privacy around patios.
Can you
believe this is an artichoke?? Peggy was out
of town and wasn't able to pick the ripe fruit, and
instead the plant was left to flower -- and
thankfully so. It's beautiful!
Stokesia
'Purple Parasols' explodes with color in Kim's garden.
This is a single plant that is a year old, and looks
great next to its neighboring coneflowers and phlox.
Creeping Jenny, or
Lysimachia nummularia, can be used to trail out of containers or
pots, and it makes a great groundcover. Considered a "stepable,"
it can even take light foot traffic. Here is plays a
prominent role in Ann Million's garden.
