Garden Party Thursday, Aug. 14
Crape Myrtle Festival Saturday, Aug. 16

Join us for our Successive Bloom Garden Party and learn how to keep your garden exploding with color through fall.  The fun starts Thursday, Aug. 14, at 5 p.m.  Horticulturist Peggy Hoelting will share the secrets of creating and maintaining a breathtaking, ever-blooming garden. You’ll learn about the showiest perennials, along with the longest blooming, heaviest producing plants available. She will also discuss the techniques needed to keep these plants in flower all season. Save 20% off your total purchase and enjoy free refreshments.

Cotton candy? No -- it's crape myrtle season

Our crape myrtle festival is Saturday., Aug. 16, starting at 9 a.m.  We'll be celebrating the plants that are transforming Missouri gardens.  Once established, they easily tolerate drought and bloom profusely through the sweltering summer.

A crape myrtle talk is scheduled for 10 a.m. and
1 p.m.  Register to win free crape myrtles, and save 20% on all crape myrtle purchases.

Remember: Wear your Sugar Creek
t-shirt into the nursery in August and save 25% off your entire purchase. Also, every customer receives double Pansy Dollars through the end of the month.

It's hot out there, but that doesn't mean your garden shouldn't be spectacular

Maybe the Japanese Beetles visited, or you went on vacation and the neighbor (or your spouse) forgot to water.  Several late-blooming perennials are so spectacular that no one will notice a few weeds or crispy annuals.  Look here for more info.

Pansy Days start Friday, Aug. 29, and run through Sunday, Sept. 14.  Pansy Dollars can be redeemed for anything in the nursery -- plants, gift shop items, compost, pottery -- you name it.  Shop early for best selection.

August V.I.G. special: Very Important Gardeners receive 50% off any chamaecyparis golden evergreen shrub or any vine (excluding climbing hydrangea), including honeysuckle, wisteria, chocolate vine, trumpet vine, clematis, porcelain berry vine, and more.
