$5 only!  Cephalanthus occidentalis 'Sputnik' Buttonbush

A greatly under-appreciated shrub, buttonbush is the perfect plant if you have wet soil and full sun to part shade.  Its fruit resembles little Sputnik-like space pods, and are very cool.  This shrub will get big if you let it -- 5'-12' tall, and 4'-8' wide, but it can be cut back to the ground each spring to rejuvenate it.

And it's a Missouri native!
