Seeds YAY! Seeds YAY! Seeds YAY! Seeds YAY! Seeds YAY!
We
are very excited to be carrying
Olds Garden
Seeds this spring. We have a nice selection of vegetables,
including lettuce, cucumbers, pumpkins -- all sizes, radishes, kohlrabi,
watermelon, beans, peas, corn, and more.
We're also carrying
Fix-N-Grow Granular Legume Inoculant, a bacterial product that fixes
nitrogen for beans, cowpeas, peas and soybeans. Each 2.3-oz. Fix-N-Grow
packet contains about 2 billion spores neatly suspended in peat granules
to be sprinkled down a 40-ft. furrow. Only $2.99.
We still have room in our "Success with Seeds"
class this Saturday, March 6, at 1 p.m. -- call for reservations. |
"When Can I Plant??"
Good
question! Our rule of thumb: If the ground is not
frozen or wet, you can plant a perennial, tree, or shrub
anytime. For annuals and tropicals, it's best to
wait until the last average frost date, which in St.
Louis, is about April 15.
