Knautia 'Mars Midget' is one of Kim's favorite sun/part-sun perennials because of its continuous blooms, ability to lightly self-seed, and compact habit.

Its striking color is a standout in the garden, and this hard-to-find short variety -- topping out at about 12" -- is a gem.
