Kolkwitzia 'Dream Catcher' -- a Beautybush that shines for three seasons, and the deer won't eat it!

Growing 6'-9' tall and 4'-6' wide, 'Dream Catcher' is a shrub that can be appreciated up close or at a distance.  Foliage appears in spring as a coppery color, then changes to a bright yellow.  The yellow is a great foil for pink flowers that appear up and down the stem -- fantastic!  In summer, foliage turns a lime green, and in fall, leaves turn orange and gold with darker tones on the tips.

Performs best in morning sun or dappled shade -- a perfect specimen plant, or group a handful together for a show-stopping hedge.

Available in 2-gallon containers at Sugar Creek Gardens for $28.99.

Weigela 'Ghost' -- it's as interesting as its name implies.  Foliage emerges in the spring a luminescent yellow, then fades to an iridescent cream color as the summer heats up.  Brilliant magenta flowers sparkle against the pale foliage, attracting hummingbirds.

Grows to about 4' tall and wide, doing best with some protection from the hot afternoon sun.  And it's deer-resistant!

Available at Sugar Creek Gardens in a 2-gallon container for $28.99.
