May gardening update

By popular demand!

We've scheduled a second "Cooking with Chef Diana" class, and a fairy gardening class for kids, adults, and fairies alike!

"Cooking with Chef Diana," Monday, May 17, at 6 p.m.  The first class was enjoyed by all, with herbalicious samples and wine and lemonade for everyone.  Diana Smith is a personal chef and ardent gardener who will show attendees the rewards of cooking with home-grown herbs and produce from the garden. Diana is a dietitian who, in addition to 10 years of professionally practicing the culinary arts, has also studied at the Cordon Bleu School in London.  Reservations required, and class size is limited.  Call 314-965-3070.

"Beginning and Advanced Fairy Gardening," Friday, May 14, 6 p.m.  Bring your children, grandchildren, or make your own fairy garden (I did), as we cover some of the basic and creative ways to make a fairy garden that will suit any home.  No reservations necessary.

Tickets now available for Sugar Creek Gardens' "Insider's Garden Tour" to benefit The City Seeds Urban Farm

You are invited to tour the private gardens of eight Sugar Creek Gardens' staff members to see how the professional gardeners garden, have a good time, and help someone in need.

The tour is Saturday, June 5, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Tickets are $15 in advance, or $18 day of the event.

A highlight of the tour will be The City Seeds Urban Farm, a project of Gateway Greening, located near Union Station in downtown St. Louis.  Tended by St. Patrick Center clients, these urban farmers overcome hardship to learn hands-on vegetable production and landscape maintenance.

Give us a call for more information or to buy tickets -- 314-965-3070.
